On Friday (7th), the Military Road Police seized over four tons of marijuana concealed within a load of plastic materials. The truck driver was arrested on the spot in Sarapuí, located in the Sorocaba region of São Paulo.
Officers from the 5th Battalion were patrolling the area when they stopped the vehicle on the Raposo Tavares Highway.
During the inspection, authorities discovered 4,187 kilograms of the drug hidden among the cargo. The suspect was taken into custody and brought to the Itapetininga Police Station, where he is being held for legal proceedings.
The incident has been filed under drug trafficking.
