On Friday (26), the Military Police arrested three men, aged 29, 31, and 37, who were found with a stolen cargo of 27 tons of meat valued at over R$ 745,000. The incident took place in a clandestine warehouse in the Jardim da Represa neighborhood of São Bernardo do Campo, ABC region.
The operation began when officers from the Motorcycle Support Police (Rocam) noticed a driver speeding up abruptly upon seeing the police vehicles. When stopped, he appeared nervous, raising suspicions.
Following the initial stop, officers identified the destination he was heading to and, with the help of additional teams, proceeded to the location. They discovered two other men unloading large quantities of meat from two refrigerated containers. A check of the container numbers revealed that the cargo had been stolen in August.
At the warehouse, police also found a truck with tampered license plates. The representative of the company that had been robbed was contacted and confirmed that the recovered cargo amounted to approximately 27 tons, valued at over R$ 745,000.
The robbery was reported when the transport truck lost its tracking signal in the Jundiaí area. The driver remains untraceable at this time.
The merchandise was returned to its rightful owner. The three suspects were taken to the 8th Police Station in São Bernardo do Campo, where they are being held awaiting legal proceedings. The case has been recorded as receiving stolen goods, robbery, criminal association, and tampering with vehicle identification marks. Investigations are ongoing to locate the missing driver.
