Polícia Civil captura criminosos especializados em assaltos a domicílios enquanto se preparavam para uma ação.

Three men, aged 18, 26, and 40, were arrested while on their way to commit another crime after being implicated in a burglary. The police intervention took place in the Jardim Europa area of western São Paulo on Wednesday (19), following the identification of the vehicle involved in their criminal activities by the Civil Police.

Officers from the 3rd Central Specialized Unit for Fighting Organized Crime (Cerco) were investigating a burglary that occurred in Jardim Paulista on Monday (17). A gang had broken into a home using a cloned remote control to access the gate, stealing jewelry, mobile phones, and cash in euros and dollars.

The police tracked the vehicle used by the suspects through the Muralha Paulista system. They intercepted the criminals approximately 200 meters from a residence they intended to target next. The suspects were reportedly using a smartphone to monitor real-time locations, likely of other accomplices waiting for them at the planned site. Balaclavas and gloves were also found in the car.

Detective Felipe Nakamura from the 3rd Cerco stated that upon investigating the next target, the homeowner expressed concern over the previous day when the gate appeared to open and close by itself, despite no one entering. To address this, the homeowner had even hired a security guard for added protection.

“It was clear they were about to commit another robbery, but we intervened. We believe others were waiting for them, so we will continue our investigations to locate the remaining suspects,” the detective clarified.

The three apprehended individuals were taken to the 3rd Cerco, where the police formally requested their temporary detention. The incident has been documented as a vehicle seizure.
